About Harrison County Development Corporation

Harrison County Development Corporation (HCDC) has been helping communities and businesses in Harrison County since 1967. The oldest county–wide economic development organization in the state, HCDC’s goal is to promote, improve, and aid economic, industrial, recreational, and tourism opportunities for Harrison County. To do so, HCDC works closely with Harrison County communities and elected officials as well as regional and state partners to achieve this mission.

HCDC’s partners in this goal include our communities, Harrison County, utility suppliers, the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IDED), Iowa Western Community College (IWCC), and the Western Iowa Tourism Region (WITR). By working with all of these organizations, HCDC is able to better serve you.

HCDC is a leader when it comes to business expansions, new startups, and investment opportunities. HCDC also strives to improve the quality of life for all Harrison County’s citizens and make visitor’s stays in this area as enjoyable as possible.
